Do I really need a Fleet Tracking System?
If you have vehicles out in the field, the answer is emphatically YES! It was just a few years ago that business owners were saying to themselves, "Things have been running just fine. Do I really need a computer to run my business?" Today, you wouldn't dream of operating without one!

WHERE are your valuable mobile assets and WHAT they are doing?
Our fleet management system tracks vehicle location AND vehicle and operator performance. You can't evaluate and optimize fleet operations unless you can see and measure your fleet's composite performance. It's that simple.
is a fleet performance viewer.

Which device will I have to buy?
Here is where the advantage of
GPS tracking comes into play. There is only one device that we offer and there is a reason why. Other GPS devices from big companies can ranges anywhere from $700.00-$1500.00 which would only offer you data transmissions. What we offer is a Kenwood two-way radio, and if you are an existing customer with our voice service then you have almost everything you need*. Not only would the Kenwood radio offer data like other GPS boxes out there, but it also includes voice. So you have the convenience of total communication between you and your drivers. This is definitely not an option that is offered through other companies. This is what makes
unique.
*Only certain Kenwood radio models apply. Please ask for details

What is text/status messaging?
The customized status messaging is a special feature that we offer our customers. This feature allows your drivers to respond back with preset messages. The units come with default messages preloaded but can be customized to your line of work.
When a text message is sent from the dispatcher to a driver with a two-way radio, the radio will beep and notify the driver a message has been sent. The driver will hit a button to pull up the status messages and using the left and right arrows, he/she will select the status message that they would want to send back. This allows total communication between the driver and the dispatcher without picking up the microphone.
Below are just a few examples of status messages we have available:
Status Messages:
| Customized for a Concrete Company: |
Standard Status messages: |
| - On The Job |
- OK |
| - Coming In |
- Yes |
| - Washing Up |
- No |
| - In The Yard |
- Job Complete |
| - On Second Job |
- Arrived at Job |
| - Waiting For Customer |
- Available |
| - Going To The Job |
- Enroute |
| - Enroute |
- Waiting For Customer |
When a text message is sent from the main computer to a vehicle, a box will open to let you know the message has went through. The text information box will also provide you with the time and the vehicle the message was sent to. This allows you to keep track of all your messages going out, aside from looking at a report generator. Below is an example picture of the text-messaging box:

What about communication/data?
One of the most important part of a tracking system is the wireless communication/data. It usually involves high bills and loss of reception due to cellular coverage. Don’t get locked into a contract for something that only works at certain locations/areas. We here at
have our own communication/data system that we have built from the ground up. We have your solution for your communication/data coverage. *
*Based on our two-way radio coverage area. Please look at available map for you area.

What reports will I need?
Another important aspect of a tracking system is the reports that you can create to analyze what is going on in your business. After all, who has time to constantly watch what’s going on with your fleet throughout the entire day? When looking for a system, most people will look at the pre-canned reports that are available, but can you customize a report to your specific needs? Who knows your business better than you? Wouldn’t it be great to have a report that gives you exactly what you need? Click here for an example of the daily reports you would be looking at; remember you can customize it to show what you want to see.
The red lines indicate that the vehicle has stopped for an “X” amount of time at no speed. The yellow line shows that the vehicle has moved from its last location at a very slow speed. The duration column will tell you how long the vehicle was at the specific location.
The reporting does use real-time speed (mph).

Are inputs available?
Yes, input hardwiring is available. We can wire in a switch so it notifies you every time your PTO is turned on. This allows you to see every load of concrete that is dumped, trash dumpster that is picked up, etc. This allows you to keep a close eye on each stop your driver makes. The inputs are also displayed on your reports as well.
There is an extra monthly cost for the input option. Prices vary according to the PTO function.

How about technical support?
Do you get to talk to a human being? Yes, you do. If you have any issues with your tracking software or hardware, we will usually have a solution to your problem in less than a few hours. The difference between our technical support than any other GPS tracking company is that there is no middleman. We don't have to call someone else to see if there is an issue with his or her cellular service provider. We provide you the data coverage ourselves. You deserve competent, caring support from your tracking provider.

costs too much!
If you have 5 trucks, and buy your own private tracking gear, you will spend about $5500 right off the bat. Who can afford THAT?
Your trucks and drivers are resources. They are the assets that go out all day and sometimes, all night, to make money for your company. Then you take a big chunk of that money and pay your drivers, and maintain and improve the equipment.
It’s important to ask, “How much money can a driver and a truck actually make?” It is very possible that you do not know the answer to this question. It is important to know, though, because:
(How much money a truck CAN make)
- (How much the truck IS making)
_______________________________________
= How much you are losing on that truck every day.
Many of our customers say that they get one more job done per day, or that they see a 20-25% increase in work output once they can SEE what’s going on in the field. What they are really saying is that before they started using they did not know how much money the truck and driver could actually make in a day.10% more work output might mean about $30.00 more made each day. That means your AVL system will pay for itself in about 6-months. It might be more like $60 per day, which would be a 3-month payoff. Not a bad investment for something that continues to work for you. I just made up these numbers. Please, try it with your REAL labor/operating cost numbers and see how much more profit you will see over the next 5 years.
